| Anna Paquin, a New Zealand-Canadian actress and film theater performer is best known for roles like The PianoFly Away Home and X-Men. She began her career in the field when she was 11 in the film The Piano, for which she won the Oscar Award for best actress as a support role. It was not her intention to become an actor, but the fates decided that she would. In the aftermath of her breakout performance with her first film, she received numerous offers, but did not accept in order to concentrate on her studies.
